Conservatives simply want people to suffer and to know their place. That's really what this is all about. They want to keep "undesirables" in poverty making $7.25 so they can look down on them. Ironic thing is raising the minimum wage would benefit everyone and the upward pressure on wages would increase, but conservatives would rather people they despise suffer than increase their own quality of life. It's truly disgusting.

That’s what the minimum wage does exactly!

Not only it makes the poor people suffer, but it also makes those who pay the salary and buy the goods and services suffer!

States and local governments should set their own "minimum wages". There are far too many differences between states, cities, town, rural areas for a federal minimum wage.

How dare billionaires have to let a few more of their scraps to "trickle down" to the peasants! It's the billionaires who are really suffering.

That's conservatism in a nutshell.

A high federal minimum wage will almost certainly destroy jobs and make people poorer in parts of the country.

Not if it's done incrementally as the economy improves. It will put upward pressure on everyone's wages.

But then again, angry boomers wouldn't be able to feel as superior to their grocery store clerk if they knew they made $15/hr instead of $7.25.

By implementing a minimum wage, anybody who can’t produce more value than the minimum wage would immediately become unemployed!

The minimum wage law is stupid and evil, and so are the people supporting it.

Correct, as has been pointed out many times. The real minimum wage is always zero. And the more government meddles in this the more people will make $0.

I have no doubt you'd support bringing back indentured servitude and child labor if you could get away with it.

Angry boomers have no idea who much worse the "good ole days" they want to take our country back to were in a lot of ways.

You say this because you are completely ignorant of the basics of the economics!

Nobody can control the price of goods and services. Are denying the science too?
