If someone strangles a puppy, we can all agree a helpless living entity with a mind and spirit has been killed.

When a doctor removes tonsils, we can all agree that, while living tissue was removed and growth stopped, you didn't kill it. It is not a separate entity with a mind and a living spirit. Tonsils can't be killed.

People can readily distinguish the difference between killing a puppy, and removing tonsils. One results in death, one does not.

So I ask the question.

Is removing a 10-week old fetus any different than removing tonsils?

Are tonsils a fetus, that will become a human being?

If it is or it isn’t, the only real opinion that matters is the pregnant woman’s.

Yes.

The tonsils will at no point in their timeline become a fully functional human being, except maybe in some weird sci-fi/horror mashup.

The 10 week old fetus, however, will most likely wind up as a fully functional human being if left unharmed in order to do so. As to the philosophical question of mind/spirit, not going to speculate on that, but there is a pretty solid amount of evidence from say...all of human history and the entire science of biology, that fetuses allowed to continue their development almost always wind up as actual human beings.

When abortions are performed, the requesting patient is seeking the procedure to stop what from happening exactly? A sore throat? Tendonitis? A nagging ache? Uhm no, they are trying to prevent that fetus from becoming an actual human being and being their child. Fetuses do have that annoying tendency of becoming eventual people. Tonsils not so much, hence no real national argument on the removal of tonsils.

As a former fetus I can attest that life is beautiful once embraced..

Now if only those in waiting can say the same thing.

Their are many stories of people who were almost aborted....wonder what they think. Wonder what their childen think. Would these abortion protesters, had their choice, would they have wished they were aborted.

So what you’re saying, Biden identifies as tonsils?

Ask a woman who's miscarriaged a ten week old fetus.

Where a fetus becomes a human life is a philosophical question. Catholics believe at conception and that even birth control is sinful. Most Protestants believe at conception but birth control is ok. Jews believe 40 days from conception at earliest, some believe at birth. Muslims believe at 120 days after conception.

For the US govt to allow only the Catholic view to be the law of the land in many states is an issue of freedom of religion.

Ask someone who kills a woman who is 10 weeks pregnant how many charges of murder they get. Then ask someone who kills a non-pregnant person who still has their tonsils how may murders they get charged with.
