I've always wondered what the country would be like today if we had prohibited all immigration after 1776.

Mine would be to go back too 4 May 1818 the day before the birth of Carl Marx and prevent his arrival. So he wouldn't pollute the world with his sick garbage thinking.

So what would be yours?
I would go back in time and visit myself and give myself all the best stock tips.

Eliminate Biden's, Harris's, Pelosi's, Obama's and all other leftist politicians parents at their birth so they werent able to gi e birth to the above mentioned. Many democrats politicians aren't so bad, just mislead.

December 23rd 1913. Woodrow Wilson creates the Federal Reserve basically handing the keys to our financial creation and money management over to foreign international bankers. Still surprised how few people understand the significance of this date.

That means my family would have been safe, the first of my ancestors were here in 1740.

Damn. You must be pretty old. What's your secret? Did you find Juan Ponce de Leon's fountain of youth?

But then, your quote is rather perplexing. You used the plural pronoun "we," rather than "I." Now, is it that "we" is your preferred pronoun? Or are you a Borg? Or is there a very old mouse in your pocket?

From my research, Wilson was basically the beginning of the end for the US. There was a bit of a backlash in the 1920s and a couple times since, but mostly, it has been a slow march down the road to hell. And now we seem to be nearing that road's terminus.

A lot of folk on here who currently complain about immigration likely wouldn't be here to do so.

(Some of my family came over in the late 1500's/early 1600's, but other branches of my family didn't come over until as late as the 1880's. I suspect a lot of people here might have ancestors who came over before the Revolution, but they might also have ancestors who came after.)

OTOH, this would eliminate Trump (Scottish mother) and four of his five kids.....

exactly...if we change the past, you may not like what the new present is

what I would love to do, is to go back multiple times, just to document (like with modern cameras) things of the past, especially questionable, or unsolved things

imaging if you could get a picture of "jack the ripper" (which is still an unsolved case).. or the zodiac killer, or 100's of other unsolved mysteries... what happened to Amelia Earhart, what is the deal with the Bermuda triangle, was there more than one shooter for JFK
