Before maybe 2 years ago I had never seen or even heard about a trans child. Now every liberal soccer mom has one? Is this like a sick fad? I mean who would allow their children to do this!?
I don't know, but as I have commented before, scientific research needs to be conducted as to what makes some kids think they were born with the wrong gender. And if it can be prevented. Once these kids actually changeover as an adult, I bet it's hard for them to find a willing sex partner.
Parents change their minds and allow their kids to be that way because their kids have threatened to kill themselves or have actually tried to without success, because their parents refused to accept them for their claimed gender. Having a transgender kid is one of the worst problems a parent can have. Conservatives demanding the government ban transitioning therapy doesn't make things any easier for parents or their children. It can happen both to conservatives and liberals.
Young children are a lot like a basic computer with only an operating system and no "apps." Adults program those "apps" into the child. And as the old coder saying goes, GIGO (garbage in, garbage out). You purposely program a computer to malfunction and guess what it will do? It will malfunction, of course. It doesn't know any different.
People mimick what they are told, especially the ultra impressionable. If we told kids some of you might be frogs, we would have a pandemic of frog children.

the idea this has just reached your consciousness is rather preposterous.
However, the dip ****s that will post that kind of literal insanity on a vastly more-used form of social media, looking for approval or acceptance, is even larger
Growing up, we were poor and broke, we didn't have time to think about being trans or buying an extra wardrobe. When you're starving and there's nothing in the fridge, you're just trying to survive, you don't have time to explore your feelings about being a different gender. I had to flip burgers at 16, there was no time for cross dressing.
Well put it this way. If you didn’t have parents that had a rigid world view and would suppress what you feel, being yourself won’t have any disruption of your life. You’d be doing your thing but while being yourself without any social stigma.
I wasn't suppressed or repressed. I was surviving, we don't have time to buy extra wardrobes and use the women's bathroom or play women's sports and call everyone a transphobic. That's a luxury afforded to the priviledged. Being poor and black was enough.

There has been. A ton of it. I've only posted a few thousand times here.
Less stigma. Kids are less homophobic and transphobic. So more kids that would otherwise be closeted feel safer being themselves.
They don't stay in the closet or quietly kill themselves. This makes some conservatives very angry.
Might as well ask what's with the major uptick in mixed-race relationships after segregation ended and the stigma was lifted. That, too, made some conservatives very angry.
