From OP's linked article, "Last year, it [npr] broke its 33-year tradition of reading the text of the Declaration of Independence on July 4 — instead opting to devote a lengthy segment on Thomas Jefferson’s relationship with his slave, Sally Hemmings."

Do you need more proof?

If they change their name from National Public Radio to National Private Radio and stop taking government money, maybe Musk will remove the new tag.

Twitter suspended the best account on the site, Buitengebiden, which shows you how stupid Twitter and Musk are. Idiot.

No. Government grants are a small part of NPR's budget.

NPR is as propagandized as FoxNews. If you can't see that, it's because you're too far to one side. They spin, ignore inconvenient things, bury stories, highlight leftist views, etc.

Yeah, it's not like it was Breitbart when Trump was running NPR. Righties still considered it (media generally) the number one enemy of America even though Trump was the one in charge of NPR. Obviously biased, not really state-run though.

Twitter gives NPR ‘state-affiliated media’ label

https://nypost.com/2023/04/05/twitte...d-media-label/

Twitter attached a “state-affiliated media” label to National Public Radio’s official account on Tuesday — a designation that is also given to government-controlled outlets such as Russia Today or China’s Xinhua news agency.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk highlighted the move in a Wednesday tweet, sharing language in Twitter’s guidelines that defines “state-affiliated media” as “outlets where the state exercises control over editorial content through financial resources, direct or indirect political pressures, and/or control over production and distribution.”

“Seems accurate,” Musk tweeted...
Good for NPR. I hope Twitter does the same for Voice of America.

They is more than one news source on the radio when driving and I know my truck has a radio that can be tuned to multiple channels. Has Fox ever disclosed when a stories topic may apply to them as a news agency, I doubt it or have they presented elected officials who can actually hold a discuss without yelling all the extreme talking points we so often hear, I doubt it.

No station is ever going to report/cover every obscure story and from how you write I am sure whatever you don't agree with will be "leftist" so don't listen and stay in your preferred echo chamber news source there are plenty to choose from.

Politics aside, it's kinda right there in the name.
