Where did I say NPR doesn't receive government funding?

On wednesday, the day after they broke their own rules, NPR was removed from exception list leaving only the bBC.

Yesterday Musk was already backpedaling

Like everything elon touches, it's a cluster fart and a PR nightmare
He's getting good at that backpedaling stuff.

This is more of a comment on the current Twitter owner, than of NPR itself.

Bravo!

They're nothing but a mouthpiece for DNC propaganda these days.

Ditto for MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, etc etc

Yes they were, especially when you consider this bit of comedy gold which is ripped directly from the npr website:

Elimination of federal funding would result in fewer programs, less journalism—especially local journalism—and eventually the loss of public radio stations, particularly in rural and economically distressed communities.

What kind of JoUrNaLiSm does NPR actually engage in? Literally, NPR is nothing more than a poorly-run echo chamber.

NPR isn't same NPR I remember from the '70s or '80s. YMMV

Elon has done more than that. There is now a "For you" link on top of Twitter which provides me a combination of tweets from the people I follow and random people who happen to hold the entirely opposite view. This is my feed now:

They have gone downhill since Car Talk ended. I still listen to hear where the leftists get their silly ideas.

They have good weekend shows. Texas standard was a great show when I lived down there. And the news commentary, while biased, isn’t crazy. It’s actually levelheaded and typically features a lot more discussion about opposing or alternative views than typical news outlets. It’s still highly valuable for people willing to use critical thinking. The other news outlets have more or less quashed a lot of people’s ability or willingness to use critical thinking. As with any news or information source, never rely on just one source or side. You’ll be oblivious to what you’re missing.

Funnily enough, as a car guy, I never liked car talk. I could never pretend to diagnose cars over the phone or in person, without actually hands-on diagnosing them.

Seems like NPR has decided to no longer be "active" on Twitter following the companied being labeled as "state affiliated media" https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/...label-98528923

Good news keeps on coming!
