Businesses in NYC are not going to do a sudden exodus because the ex-P got caught breaking laws that have existed for *decades*. This is his and his company's doing. He conducted business knowing the rules and laws. This is a guy who's been involved in 4,000+ lawsuits over 5 decades. A long, long history of fraudulent activities. Source

Sad thing, it's mostly just NYC. The rest of the state is pretty sane and mostly farm lands and wilderness. Very beautiful state. I live near Buffalo for a couple of years.
Good thing he made his primary residence in Florida. We have homesteading here and those nasty democrats can’t get their hands on his home no matter what it’s worth.
But his homestead is in very blue Palm Beach County, and they are trying to go after him here too.
NYS has a byzantine, archaic and quite frankly often incompetent lower trial courts.
As such it is widely known that much time of Appellate Divisions and Court of Appeals (NYS's highest court) spend inordinate amounts of time cleaning up mess created from lower court decisions.
DT will most certainly appeal this decision and as such it's not over until it's over.
Anyone who lives in any blue city or state is an imbecile and a fool. Get out or suffer the consequences.
This is the thing though, there will come a point where there will be nowhere else to move. This is why I also despise our US government because they have become a more dangerous empire than the British or Chinese could ever dream of. The US have used their war on drugs and the war on terror to terrorize every single inch of the globe.
And pay attention to what the democrats are doing. They already got control of the Pacific states with CA, OR and WA. They got control of the majority of the states along the Atlantic and I do think they are using Mexico to try and destroy the southern borders. They are building a parameter and will close in on the fly over states. It's why we need a civil war to battle this thing out because we aren't going to be able to do it with elections and courts. And while I have faith in the SCOTUS for now, it won't take much for them to take out Trump's judges and put in some left wing whack jobs in there.

I lived in Queens for about a year, long ago. While there I did go upstate a few times and you're right, it is a beautiful state - when you get away from the grunge of NYC.
It’s called consequences of action. Companies and high income individuals have been getting out of NY for awhile now.
