Nothing like hiring criminals to enforce the law. How much more insane can this society get?

Didn't the police divisions of the SS do exactly that? And we know how that turned out.

The DACA's have only been given a temporary stay of deportation so that still makes them illegal aliens especially after they reached the age of 18 1/2.

Yes, only citizens should be allowed to become police officers.

DACA recipients are only "legal" because Obama said so.

But that's the idea to blur the lines as to who is actually "illegal", which this administration is taking to a new level. As Illinois law says they only need to be legally authorized to work. So yes, these illegals crossing the border are the pool of prospective police officers because they are allowed to work after being in this country for 6 months.

And of course, once they get a job as a police officer, that gives the Liberals what they want...another hook to make it harder to deport these people.

Maybe they should train felons in prison to be police officers.

They may be criminals, but the act in and of itself of being in the country illegally (unless previously deported), unfortunately, isn’t a crime.

Actually it is. But keep repeating that DNC talking point.

Yes and no.

“Unlawful presence” 8 USC 1182 (ie overstaying visa) is not a crime.

“Improper entry” 8 USC 1325 or is a criminal offense applies to illegal aliens who crossed the border illegally aka “border jumper” without inspection.

Some DACAs were unlawful presence when they came to the US with their parents. Some were improper entry.

Criminals enforcing the law?

Only a Democrat would think that makes any sense whatsoever.

This was all by design. Defund the police isn’t actually defund the police. It was replace the police who didn’t vote the right way.
That is certainly part of it, and rest assured the Founding Father's were against any type of federally controlled police force in cities across the country. Heck they even opposed a standing army controlled by DC when not at war, because they feared what a tyrannical government run amok could do with it.
Heck just look at how the FBI has been weaponized against the political enemies, not to mention all the other 3 letter agencies.
I am still wondering why the IRS bought all those guns and ammo.

Naturally it is the Democrats wet dream, and they have been taking control on different police departments under the guise of consent decrees, essentially getting local governments run by leftists to say their police department are violating the citizens civil rights (typically claiming systemic racism), and give oversight to the feds.
Then when the city and/or police departments try to get out of it, even years later, the federal government uses lawyers to try and keep control. It happened in LA years ago, and is happening in a lot of large (D) cities.

Also normalizing illegal aliens into different aspects of our society is just another step to try and get them citizenship down the road, hence the idea of those cities/states wanting to turn them into cops.
You know the call to legalize them will be something like "they put their lives on the line every day to keep America safe, so why are they not allowed to be citizens".

Imagine a member of MS-13 showing up at your house, wearing a badge, formally empowered by the State (and largely immune from consequence) to relieve you of liberty and/or life in whimsical fashion.
