Today on Hardball, former White House press secretary Scott McClellan admitted to Chris Matthews that the Bush administration has regularly given "talking points" to Fox News commentators (such as O'Reilly and Hannity) to act as the White House's spokespeople.

'Bout time someone with insider information on the White House has finally admitted that Bushco uses Fox News as their mouthpiece, which, in effect, makes Fox News neither fair nor balanced, as they so adamantly proclaim to be.

And the democrats don't? You must be kidding me? They are infamous for getting those talking points to the press. They ALL do it - to get their message out.

ANYTHING coming from MSNewBarackChannel is suspect, considering their clear bias toward obama, (ie mathews and doberman) and their hatred of Bush. Their credibility is in the trash - although not with the obamatized bots.

Wow, isn't it great when you get at least a little bit of a confirmation on subjects which you have been so adamant about. This should be nothing new to most people, but this may help a little to open some eyes to the idea that our "free" press can be easily corrupted.
The days of the true investigative journalist are over, ushering in a new era of controlled, propaganda-laced news. Of course this doesn't mean that everything we here is a conspiracy or a farce. But I myself do believe the powers that be have their fingers in a lot of pies and control what we see and hear far more often than we generally think.

So of course the moral is do your own research and homework. Don't believe something just because you heard it on the news.

Its called separation of powers . . . abuse of power. Today Bob Barr attended impeachment hearings on Bush. Is'nt it ironic that he is now seeking impeachment of a Republican president? It is very telling.

The fat sheep who clutch their tv-feeding tubes to them - watch them all start complaining and defending. They WILL NOT open their eyes.

Every day, the candidates send to various news organizations what they consider important, pertinent and newsworthy.

Same with administrations. They have reams-long email lists of reporters, news stations, newspapers, you name it, they got it. Just another tool to get their story out.

Remember the staffer just recently that hit the "send" to all the news orgs.

Yes, they do. PBS is no different than any other news org. MSNBC is just characterizing it in a negative light. But I guarantee you, they also get info "bursts" like this all the time.
