Their game, their ball and it is their field. Don't go there if you don't like the terms. I am well traveled but I avoid countries whose policies laws or culture I find offensive. Not my job or my business to try change them.

Clinton Proposes Renewing China's Most-Favored Trade Status
Congressional reaction mixed amidst larger China policy issues
WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, June 3) -- President Bill Clinton on Wednesday proposed renewing most-favored-nation (MFN) trade status for China, saying it was "clearly in our nation's interest" as he urged Congress to support the request.
Oh, c'mon! It's Clinton's fault Americans are so greedy that they want to do as much business with COMMUNIST China as possible?????
Some Americans LOVE COMMUNIST China...send their business there, buy all the imports from there that they can, let the Chinese buy all the property in the U.S that they want,.... borrow billions from COMMUNIST China....MY! It must be a wonderful country!!!!!!
Safety is relative but I would say within the context of this thread's story, if your going to raise a large, public stink about a personal offense, a dictatorial police state might not be the best place to do it.
Especially if you're considered a "lesser culture" by the state's authorities.
