Interracial marriage was illegal at one time, I get the feeling that many here would refer to that time as "the good old days".
Since you seem to be inferring that those of us who disagree with gay marriage somehow disagree with mixed marriages, you'd have to include Obama, right? But what about those of us who are in bi-racial marriages and against gay marriages, or homosexuals that are against gay marriages? Not so simple, huh?
Hard to believe anyone would wish guns were taken away like only hetrosexuals own guns, thats absurd and as far as the Gay's rioting that sounds like a good idea, look how well it's worked out in the past, go ahead and burn and loot your neighborhoods.
There is already talk of it being on the ballot for 2010. It will eventually pass and same sex marriage will be recognized here in California, it's only a matter of time.
And it'll get shot down again, as the very socially conservative Hispanic community continues to grow and the leftist whites continue to promote abortion. Gotta look at the big picture.

Especially if the DEMOCRATS () get their way on amnesty and the illegals are actually granted citizenship and permitted to vote.
the sheeple were easily intimidated by the evildoings of the mormon church. they didn't get the opportunity to rationally think about what they were doing when they voted for the H8. If put on the ballot again, I predict that Prop H8 will be overturned once the voters have had a chance to digest the information free of religious homophobic propoganda. It is only a matter of time.
Sorry but I don't buy that it is because of the Mormons that the ban was affirmed. It is much more likely that it was due to the large Hispanic population in California who are more likely to have a traditional view of what constitutes marriage. As for the voters not having had a chance to digest the information, are you serious? Voters all had the same amount of "digestion time," on both sides of the issue. As for not having the opportunity to rationally think about what they were doing - whose fault is that? They had exactly the same amount of time as those who voted to uphold the ban. It appears that you want special consideration given to those who are either too careless, lazy, or disinterested. There seems to be nothing "gracious" about your losers.
Except for the fact that "rights" are granted to the people by the U.S. Constitution and the state constitutions themselves.
..
It is my belief that we are born with our rights.
The Constitution merely exists to let government know TO WHAT EXTENT it may be involved in our lives.
The Constitution protects the rights we already have; it doesn't grant them to us. God does that.
