Why do neocons/repugs ALWAYS want to settle everything like cave men???
What was the sense of pushing for a UN mandate of interdiction, sending out a destroyer, shadowing the NK vessel for days and then ......... once your bluff is called, turning tail?

Do you not understand how impotent, weak and just plain stupid this was?

Basically it was a who blinks situation that he should have know he was getting himslef into. He bascially blinked then. JFK was able to cut a deal where it looked like the russians blinked at least;only later did we find out about the deal. Its a dangerous game to play unless your dead serious.

Obama has always come across as not a war monger type of President.

I think you were too used to the Bush/Cheney "let's bomb them suckers" reaction.
If the economy does not recover I guarantee we at least launch airstrikes on N korea. Wag the Dog my friend wag the dog.

Exactly!

When your actions fail to match your words you look the fool, and you lose massive credibility. 0bama's reckless actions are the type which cause unwanted wars and conflicts, because no one can judge his true intentions, not allies, not enemies.

Obama just rendered Lil Kim irrelavant by simply ignoring this harmless ship. Sometimes the best answers are the easiest answers.

Well, well, well.

So all that was needed from the little pot-bellied dictator was a few threats of war and annihilation?

What was that obama said about getting the international community together on this?

Yeah, so much for his "smart power".
They guy is a weakling, coward, and won't protect the United States. Some of us knew this way last summer. But, oh well. He caused "tingles" to run up certain media personalities legs, and others just swooned. The American public is stupid, unfortunately. That is obvious by so many posts to this Forum.

Then why do we even bother to put boots on the ground?

Just use B-52 and B-1 bombers.... war over....

No, North Korea drops A-Bomb on Seoul South Korea... war not over...

I wouldn't as far as to say that...

But the ship did look like it was about ready to sink without any help....

Is that really the way you see it or do you just not want to admit what a weak idiot obama looks like.

Yeah, he really ignored it, didn't he?

Pushed for a resolution, sent a big ole destroyer to shadow the ship for days and then when push came to shove, he tucked tail and gave up.

That would work too. Worked in the Gulf War, didn't it?

We could easily fill the skies with our air force while also taking out their air power.
