I don't have much money now and I don't shop at them. Especially Wal*Mart. Shopping there was such an ordeal for me in the past, that I've stopped altogether. Honestly, I'd rather pay a bit more than to go through the Wal*Mart ordeal.
I wonder how much money Wal-Mart donated to the study of THAT and how much money the fellow responsible for writing it ended up with.
Wal-Mart didn't fund it. That's why I specifically cited it. It's the closest thing to an unbiased report I can find. I hedge at using the book of a man who makes a significant part of his income consulting with business owners about how to fight Wal-Mart coming to town, and how to compete against them when they do. It's in his interest to heighten the sense of threat. I hedge at using the statistics of a DC lobbyist who makes a significant part of his income from lobbying on behalf of unions, and from a book touting the dangers of big box. I hedge at using study after study that's been requested by and paid for by unions with a clear agenda. And I hedge at using studies paid for by Wal-Mart. That leaves me with this federal study, and a few college-level studies by undergraduates that I have concerns about because they statistically they don't seem to have controlled for external factors.

Nope, don't shop there now.
I'd be living in a nice tropical country with fresh fruit, snorkeling and diving a few meters away.
I don't have many needs now, probably wouldn't have many then.
Yeah that would be me as well. Thailand to be exact with my wife and my daughter. You summed up paradise perfectly.
I like how you don't quote me with name, so you won't be making a personal attack. I might have to use that tactic. what my comment does show, is honesty. also, please define the word greed. I am unfamiliar with that word.
lol, Im sure the mods would have managed to follow; I dont think there's anything in the TOS that says that if a name isnt attached to a quote then all rules are suspended. Here, is this better?

This just shows brainless selfishness and greed... the key motivators of most "conservatives".
The results of this poll pretty much sum up why America is in trouble and will not come out of it. China owns us and are laughing all the way to the Walmart bank.
