I assume that you think America has been worrying about AIDS for the past couple of years? Of course not, the ban has been in place since 89', and nobody till Obama has been dumb enough to lift it.
People come and go to this country daily who have aids. The ban did nothing - it was a 'please the extreme, without doing a thing' ban.
It looks like the great all mighty President Obama has done it again. This time putting my family and your family and this whole great nation in great danger. By the beggining of 2010, Obama will lift the AIDS travel ban, allowing people from all over the world to come here and get FREE, that's right FREE healthcare. All WE have to do, as great hard-working Americans is pay MORE taxes. Thats right folks dig into your wallets once more to help these NON American Visitors get FREE healthcare.
And not to mention the great chances and fear of my family, your family, and American people of getting AIDS. If we can go back in time, Don't any of you remember that AIDS became a pandemic in this country back when one individual man spread it to all these people? It looks like it will happen again, and America will have the highest HIV rate in the nation in a few years. Just great.
I'd like a nice debate to go on. Feel free to write anything and express yourself.
Mr.Obama has a thing where he thinks it's okay for visitors or illegal immigrants to have things for free, while American citizens have to always pay money for it.
Where did Obama say things should be for free for illegals?
Illegal's are not part of this discussion anyway, since the ban would never apply to them, since they were not admitted.

We are so much more advanced than Africa in a lot of things, they may have free AIDS treatment, but a lot of the poorer people who don't live in any city or town, and who are isolated, really don't know about it.
If they don't know about it (and are isolated), how are they going to know they can get it here? (or even know "here" exists)

"President Obama deserves praise for lifting the 22 year-old ban on travel to the US by HIV-infected people or those living with AIDS," said Michael Weinstein, President of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. "This ban only served to reinforce stigma against people living with HIV/AIDS, and its repeal is long overdue. The travel ban was an enormous black eye on US humanitarian efforts such as PEPFAR, the US` widely respected global AIDS program. With the repeal of this ban, major international AIDS conferences may once again be held here in this country, something that has not happened throughout the ban. In addition, the updated version of the Ryan White CARE Act that Obama signed into law today provides another watershed moment: the bill puts a newfound-and crucial-emphasis on HIV testing, with directives that five million HIV tests be done annually. At present, fully one-quarter of the 1.2 million people living with HIV/AIDS in the US are currently unaware of their HIV status. Stepped up testing, as this bill requires, with linkage to treatment when needed, should go a long way to help address the problem of people unaware of their HIV status unwittingly passing on their infection to others." Why do you need proof, obviously they're not going to make these visitors with no money and AIDS get by paying a cent. Thats up to US to support this whole free treatment thing financially.
Why do I need proof??? Because your post is inflammatory nonsense without it.
You assert that the US is going to give foreign AIDS patients free care. On what do you base this statement? Where in the article to which you linked does it state that free care will be given?
