I do!

Seems lots of folks were upset that Bush started a war in Iraq for reasons he and Cheney will never reveal. And whatever reason it was, it clearly didn't serve the national interest. Some folks are just funny that way.

I don't think anyone ever launched protests against this GOP president's viewpoint on wars for profit.

That's true, although in the particular case of Eisenhower's comments using the term "military-industrial complex," we should keep two things in mind:

1. No rock-ribbed Republican was going to make much of a statement against Eisenhower, who was, after all, a military hero.

2. He made the comment in 1961, just before his term ended on January 20.

Bad enough these people are implying he should be dead, but to use the Bible to make your point is sickening.

It's not "maybe" going to far, it's WAY over the line. I'm a conservative Christian and I don't want to see my President die, his children left orphaned, and his wife a widower.

I didn't vote for our current President, and don't agree with all of his policies, but goodness people, he IS our President. Frankly I wouldn't wish this on anyone much less our sitting President.

Anyone that promotes this garbage should be at the very least ashamed if not worse.

I send my love and well wishes to the Obama family.

Didn't vote for him and can respectfully disagree with him but I do pray for his well being in addition to that of his family.

Best wishes and you have my prayers Mr. President.

Psalm 109:8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

I guess if you are of a sick mind it may read more than what is there. Of course SANE NORMAL people would say they hope his is not in office long as in NOT REELECTED.
One thing is clear: the scripture embodies the wish of an untimely death. Hebrew kings weren't elected to office; they only vacated their thrones via death.

What's so ironic about this whole thing is that Psalm 109:8 actually reflects the desires of the enemies of the righteous psalmist. The psalmist himself goes on to say in verse 20 that he wants God to do all that stuff to his enemies, who are wishing all of these terrible things on him.

Default May his days be few...

I did not hear a specific person use Psalm 109:08 in a speech, so I am sorry if someone used it in a hateful way. I have heard Chrisitans use this as a joke. I am just writing from my own experience. When I hear someone say this, I take it as let his days in office be over as soon as possible. They are just wanting a more conservative person in office. They do not wish any harm to him.
I personally found liberals and main stream media to be so hateful in what they say. This is the main reason I will not listen to them. They are hypocritical and do so much name calling. I have witnessed this in my own family too. They happen not to be Christians, but I do not think all non-Christians are hypocritical and participate in hateful name calling.
I have been hearing someone from the Black Panthers speak of killing white babies (he used a more offensive slang term). I heard his actual words. This is much more scary to me, but I do not jump to the conclusion that all in his group want to kill white babies. Hopefully, he does not mean that and just wants the attention.
I think radicals on any side of the politcal spectrum can say hateful things. I am tired of people bashing Christians though.

I think the Rabid Right thinks they may NOT be able to remove President Obama with the next election so they are asking their GOD for some help. Talk about lack of faith in the political process.
