Approval ratings be damned ... This former young Jr. Senator should have never been pressured into this horrible mess in the first place !

It's no wonder the American People hear so much about the tremendous amount of time the President spends on the Golf Course and on vacation's all around the globe. The Oval Office stress level must be "Through The Roof" !

Just think folks ... A few more years as a U.S. Senator could have easily made all the difference in the world for BHO and perhaps a bid for the Presidency a little later on!

What on earth could those old mendacious Democrats have been thinking ? One extremely good bet is they weren't thinking at all about what was good for the American People and the American nation as a whole !

The incredibly sick politics of these days !!!!!!

Thanks / Lamar

Thanks Lamar for a well thought out post, but so true. Power More Control, and oh yes they want to torture us to.

Obama's Approval Rating Dips to New Low - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Domestic issues – and not his response to terrorist threats - appear to be driving the president's approval rating downward.

Just 41 percent now approve of his handling of the economy, which Americans say is the nation's most pressing issue.

Forty-seven percent disapprove.

The president's marks on handling health care, with reforms still under debate in Congress, are even lower – just 36 percent approve, while 54 percent disapprove.

Both of these approval ratings are the lowest of Mr. Obama's presidency.

TANKING comes to mind.

In other news: He will still be your president for at least THREE MORE YEARS. Although I'd recommend you get used to the idea of seven. Have a nice day.

Twista: And the chances of that happening are less than 1/10th of 1%. Obama even opnely stated they'd get the death penalty. When and if that occurs his approval rating will only go higher.
Really? Have you been reading the papers? A judge is already throwing out evidence that the government had against these scum.

so tell me how this is looking like a death sentence for these animals. People are gonna be pissed!

Obama's average approval rating throughout his presidency thus far is higher than Clinton, Reagan and Nixon, all 2-term presidents.
Incorrect. He has THE lowest approval rating.

He is often mentioned as one of the greatest President we have ever had.

Like it or not, the man was a leader, something we don't have right now.
Exactly...

And he had an approval rating LOWER than Obama's. Get it?

Low approval rating ≠ failure
Low approval rating ≠ one term Presidency

Actually, according to your own logic:

Low approval rating = "one of the greatest President we have ever had"

You are talking apples and oranges.

We are talking about at the same point in time, namely 1 year in. not first or second terms.

Any slight bump in support Obama received coincident with his new Afghanistan policy proved to be very short-lived, as his approval rating returned to below the majority level by the weekend, and slipped further to 47% in Dec. 4-6 polling.
