Whoa Roger Ebert?? Yes he lost all credibility with me when I watched him rate movies. Does anyone honestly care what Ebert thinks or says?
Something like how we're all suppose to wet our pants when some school teacher in Middle America writes a scathing letter to the President or something, eh?

Ebert's movie reviews are syndicated to more than 200 newspapers in the United States and worldwide.
How many posters here can say the same?

He has written more than 15 books, including his annual movie yearbook which is predominately a collection of his reviews of that year. In 1975, Ebert became the first film critic to win a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. His television programs have been widely syndicated and have been nominated for Emmy awards. In February 1995, a section of Chicago's Erie Street near the CBS Studios was given the honorary name Siskel & Ebert Way. In June 2005, Ebert was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was the first professional film critic to receive such an award. In late 2007, Forbes Magazine named Ebert "the most powerful pundit in America," edging out Bill O'Reilly, Lou Dobbs and Geraldo Rivera.[6] He has honorary degrees from the University of Colorado, the AFI Conservatory, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Apparently, people care a hell of a lot more about Roger Ebert's opinion than they do about his detractors here on CD. Go figure.
Yeah, people care about what he says about Brad and Angelina. Politics? Not so much. He should stick to his knitting.
The other day, I posted a much shorter version of what Ebert right here on this forum. I said that Limbaugh insulted every American by politicizing disaster relief. Why isn't Ebert allowed to post the same sort of thing? Simply because he's got a pulpit to speak from?
Don't listen to him if you don't want to but there is no reason why he should speak up.
Now, we all know how liberals love to distort, misrepresent and otherwise smear Rush in the quotes they attribute to him - what exactly is that old sow Ebert talking about?
