Yes, Beck was frustrated and no wonder. His "guest'" backed out and revealed nothing.
Did you read the Time article? It walks you through the changing dynamics of the whole show.

I almost thought Beck was set up
My favorite:

BECK: So, why are you here? Out of all the shows you could pick, why would you pick this one? Why are you here?

MASSA: I want the toughest, most unforgiving interviewer possible.

BECK: That would be Bill O'Reilly.

MASSA: He didn't call me.

The lightbulb was clearly lit after this exchange

BECK: Stop what?

MASSA: Calling fellow Americans names, pejorative, insulting — socialist, communist, whatever the case may be, colorful names designed to emote emotion. I get it.

More like an episode of Punked I was waiting for Beck's head to
explode

You know what was the best thing that came out of that show? It showed what kind of people the Democrats elect, nutjobs, crazies and gays in orgie Caligula-like tickling parties. The Democrats are full of them.

It was a great show to open the eyes of people.

I couldn't figure out who was the most pathetic, Beck for chomping at the bit and fell for the ole okey doke by having Messy on his show or Messy Messa (Massa) for playing the victim role. The best part was when BECK lost control of his own platform. The frustration in his face.

Good Job Beck...Good Job Messy

But Beck could not compete with the oddity of the sympathy card Massa kept pulling. He appeared frustrated that Massa wasn't revealing any more sinister plots afoot in the nation's capital, and he got visibly annoyed when Massa tried to take some measure of responsibility for his actions and attempted to walk back some of his more heated rhetoric against White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.
And to make things worse, when Massa turned from discussing his own woes to the machinations of Washington, he offered ideas that have no place in Fox News's tightly regulated framework. Massa suggested that Beck and other Americans demand "campaign finance reform" to curb the corruption on Capitol Hill. Beck, who has called such proposals a "huge mistake," put his hand over his mouth, as if he were holding back an upset stomach. Massa, who has opposed Obama's health reform because it is not liberal enough, told Beck that he should stop calling people names like "socialist" and "communist." "You can be a progressive and be a fiscal conservative," Massa then explained, as Beck lost control of his own program.

I would say that you didn't hear Beck apologize for at least 5 minutes for having Massa on and not checking him better before he went along with it, today. Since you had never seen him before that abortion I would think that you sure didn't see him today, although your artificial stupidity might point out to the reason you didn't see him today. You surely wouldn 't have liked him today when he pointed out that Cass Sunstein's method of nudging people has been thrown aside by Obama and is now being replaced with hard pushing through the use of executive orders.

Hey, why don't you try to watch the first half hour of today's show just in case it might be even more informative?

Where else was the guy going to get a forum to make or break his case? With an audience of 3.5 million people who didn't watch MSNBC or CNN. And was to understand... he lost.

??? The View ??? Wait, no... it wasn't Rahm Rahm poking his finger.

I guess you missed that closet that flew open on the Republican party, over and over and over and let me say over again.
