then you agree, we should have NOT bailed out that MONOPOLY

we should have let "GM" go to bankrupsy, and split the CONGLOMORATION up,, chevy, buick, pontiac, hummer, saturn, opel (the europe gm), and GMCetc...all INDIVIDUAL COMPANIES just like it was 70 years ago

do you think we should just BAILOUT failing monoploies just because someone says they are 'to big to fail'......what about the THOUSANDS of small companies that have gone bankrupt in the last 20 years?????

or are you FOR DISCRIMINATION....because that is what that was we DISCRIMINATED against some companies to support others

I want to support companies that can stay afloat...I have always been a chevy man...but I will NEVER buy another GM product

If your friend lost $70,000 with the bankruptcy he probably had his PSP tied up in all GM stock instead of diversifying. What does that have to do with the union? Poor management of your friend's account and poor management of GM aren't the fault of the union.

I was taking a look at an AR15.com thread today and noticed something. Joe six pack types overwhelmingly said "no" as to whether they'd buy a GM car, nearly 90% took this stance. Me thinks if they can't appeal to beer gut JimJoeBob, they're screwed.

Will You Buy A GM Product Now That They're Repaying The Bailout Money? - AR15.COM

And Toyota sounds a big sigh of relief. Now maybe opportunist pig politicians with Big Labor in their backpocket will climb down off that fake and fastidious stump of demogoguery.

GM has about 18% of the market. How on earth do you figure that is a monopoly? Do you even know what the term monopoly means?

You know what...so would the rest of the shareholders in the company. Why did the union, who was a major contributor to the problems that GM was having, get a big, fat reward, while the rest of the shareholders got nothing? Cost me about $4k on the deal. My own fault though, should have bailed when the company was doing well.

From the link:

The taxpayers have over 50 billion into GM and are getting 5.7 billion in return.
No cause for celebration.
i agree. it is just pulling money that it already borrowed to "pay back" and canada is getting 1.1 billion of it and the us is getting 4.7 billion.

people need to remember that GM actually has LOST $4.3 billion in the second half of 2009, and they have not released any figures since.

they said that they will release some figures in mid may.

Bluefly: Those workers wouldn't have been absorbed. We can't even absorb the unemployed in this country now. The bailout was necessary.
Uh, didn't Bush start the bailouts?

This was a failure starting at the level of the ridiculous unions. Until you fix that problem, there's no permanent solution.
