Why are active duty members protesting IN UNIFORM? That's the real story on this one, but completely ignored by most. That is a blatant violation and these people should all be answering to someone today.

Obama's not liberal, so they probably *are* liberal democrats.

That is a matter for their individual commands to administer what punishment the command feels is warranted. This is about abuse of power in trying to keep the press from covering a protest against the president at the White House.

No, knowledge of the facts and any degree of actual sense have also been notably missing from right-wing posts...

Those "police" should be punished for restricting the freedoms of both the protesters and the press. Thugs should hold no position of authority of any kind.

That's a statement of chronology. What else do you IMAGINE it to establish?

He was unaware that it had happened. It should be noted that I called the Secret Service Uniformed Division, and they confirmed that they had nothing to do with this action, that Park Police are responsible for the area in question. This was a transparency issue, to be sure, but not with the White House

<yeah right, so who gave the order. if the park police officer didn't give the order and the secret service didn't give the order, then who gave the initial order to force the press away from the White House where the protest was happening. My personal opinion, someone in the White House sent the order to the police and didn't back down until the members of the press didn't simply cave in to the abuse of power methods. Once the press reporters began making phone calls to their offices, that's when the administration realized they had a negative situation on their hands and backed down>
Aren't you the guy who was recently calling others JERKS? As the quote plainly confirms, the Park Police have jurisdiction over Lafayette Park and their guy gave the orginal order. But in your infinite right-wing capacities, you feel able to conjur up instead a personal version of events that consists solely of FABRICATED notions and suppositions. Makes me wonder who the real jerk here actually is.

LOL. So you didn't actually read up on this event at all, did you. You saw the misleading Ben Smith headline and decided to spin another of your typical over-the-top faux outrage pieces out of it. That's the sort of thing that simple partisan hacks do...

This is rapidly becoming a bit about the on-going willingness of right-wingers to lie, distort, and misprepresent the facts. As the press has reported, no WH power was exercised in this event, but you'll pretend that there was so that you can characterize it as having been an abuse of power. No soup for you.
