Pathetic. Lafayette Park is under Park Police jusrisdiction. The White House and Secret Service have nothing to do with it. Incidents on the fence are covered by Park Police protocol, but the guy on the scene didn't follow it. He initially moved everybody out of the area, including persons who were credentialed WH press. This error was corrected in the time it took to place a cell phone call -- a few minutes -- after which a press area was established and credentialed press were allowed across police lines.
