Im young married and have a 6 year old I have a job set up and its outside of Vero Beach. I've been looking at Vero Beach because its so close and I heard some great things. My husbands more of a city person and im more of a small town girl I know great match LOL. I need something kinda in the middle that has a beach im a huge beach person and run on it everyday so I dont want to drive more then 15 minutes. I want people my age that I can make friends with in the area. We need great schools and activities for kids too. Am I makeing the right decision with Vero Beach or is there some where else that would fit us better?

Maybe you should look to Stuart?

It's got a bit more going on than Vero.

Vero Beach is in the middle of nowhere and is primarily a retirement community. No place for young families, no entertainment for adults or kids, and zero job opportunities. You will be hard pressed to find people your age.

Stuart is much nicer and a great family area. Lots of nice homes on big lots and very safe. Plus it has a nice beach for fishing, jogging, whatever. Also it is close to Palm Beach County and the rest of S. Florida. Lots of younger people raising families and good schools. You would not be disappointed.

As my neighborhood turns over, it is young professional people with children moving in. There's plenty of young people in Vero... more and more as time goes on.

I would recommend Stuart. Much more going on there but still great place to raise kids.

They're working in professional jobs such as law and banking. We have a few salespeople who are on the road so it doesn't matter where they live. We have a few school teachers, a few docs who travel to South Florida, and a few retired couples.

In answer to the original posters question, if I could live anywhere on the TC, it would be Jupiter. It's close to W. Palm Beach with good shopping and good eats and close to the airport.
