The Tom Brady thread got me wondering about the top five. This is my list for right now. I didn't do a lot of hard thinking about who to include. So it is subject to change but most likely only the order. It is harder for me to go back further than Montana being that I am under the age of 30.

1)Montana 2)Brady
3)Peyton
4)Marino
5)Elway
What's yours?
Brady is the only one I personally question yet he may end up there
As for QBs from years ago, one I don't think gets enough mention is Otto Graham. He played in 10 straight championship games, winning 7.
I always wonder how the media shoves this "great-QB-must-win-championship" argument down our throats but then conveniently never mentions a guy who has rings like Bill Russell.
I have Marino #1 on my list. I wouldn't have Brady and Peyton that high. I'm not sure exactly how my list would shake out though.
I agree 100% about Marino. The fact that he did what he did without a running back is insane. If the other team knows you are going to pass all the time, it's much easier to defend unlike when there is a chance of a handoff to a Barry Sanders, an Emmitt Smith, etc...
I think this is a hard list to compile. Modern players are on another level. A mediocre QB in todays game could look like the best in the '50s-70s. On a simply skill level my list would be modern heavy. A historical perspective would look much different. Guys like Graham, Tarkenton, Tittle would garner serious looks.
