"Excellent defense?" Okay. LOL.
Now that is some amazing analysis! It shows what I saw, the Rams offense had some good opportunities but didn’t capitalize... mostly because of Goff.

That late throw to a wide open receiver in the back of the end zone summed up Goff’s night pretty well. He seemed to be the last person on the field to recognize what was going on in nearly every play. He took a sack where he held the ball for 10 seconds!

Sometimes the coverage downfield is so good that there's nowhere to go with the ball, but last night wasn't one of those nights. Guys were breaking open but Goff just didn't see them. That's a demerit against the offense more than it is a credit to the defense.

Like I said earlier, the college football championship game had more exciting defense both schematically and individually. Any time a nickelback can tackle a tight end in space, you've got to jump out of your seat whether you're neutral or cheering for one of the teams. That game had more remarkable defensive (and offensive) play than that sorry excuse for a game last night.

Ben was credited for a rushing TD in that game even though the ball didnt break the plane of the goal line on the play he supposedly scored.

However the point remains the Goffs passer rating was higher than the 2 I mentioned.

Oh, I see. You're one of those short attention span people that need explosive offense with big air and huge plays all the time in order to be entertained. All that means is that one team (or both) has lousy defense. I'd rather see a low scoring, hard fought battle like this where the few scores that are achieved mean something due to overcoming an incredible defense. And it was a game that wasn't decided by penalties (or lack of), either.

My team wasn't in the game, but I can appreciate it for what it was. The Pats held the Rams to only 3 points, and very few first downs, and other than one play, the Rams kept the normally explosive Pats out of the red zone. Pretty good stuff.

But then I like soccer and hockey and neither of those are high scoring games, either.

As I said in my original post, I’m a Bear’s fan, I love a great defensive performance. I’m used to that style of football because that’s the style my team has played for a long time. Yesterday’s performance was not a defensive masterpiece as much as it was offensive ineptitude... especially by the Rams.

Well at least with the Seattle Denver game only one team was cringe worthy. I think New England and LA fans were cringing all over the place.

I don't know how many years some have watched the SB but I almost always watch the whole thing unless it is totally a lopsided score. I know it can't happen but sometimes I would really like to know the age of people answering the poll.

So if the Packers were blowing somebody out in the Super Bowl, you wouldn't like that? Really?

Defensive games are fine by me. Could have easily been a 17-13 Rams victory if not for 2 key defensive plays by the Patriots. Definitely not the worst Super Bowl.

I don't know about a highlight, But Goff's missing a WIDE open Brandin Cooks was an all time low light.
