I didn't like it either but I think the defense was tired and Shanahan didn't want to put them back on the field. The kid did make the FG if it wasn't because of that dumbarse Time out called!!! It is what it is.... They lost against a good team.... They're still 1-1 and tied with everyone else in the division, I wouldn't get too down about it. I just hope they keep playing hard and keep improving.

Before yesterday, Graham Gano had never missed a FG of over 40 yards. It was sudden death overtime too. In other words, first team to score wins. The way Houston was driving it wouldn't have mattered if the field was 50 yards or 99 yards. You would take field position over a pretty solid assurance of a guaranteed win? It's a shame more of the coaches I coach against don't think like you

Good news: although Trent does have a sprained toe, his knee MRI came back negative.

If they had drove from inside their own 5 to get a winning FG, then they would have earned the win

Another question; why didn't Shanahan give Rackers the same treatment that Kubiak gave Gano? Shanahan had a timeout.

It's irrelevant. You pretty much said you'd throw away your chance to win a game just to play field position, in freaking overtime. Golly it'd be nice if other coaches I coach against thought like you.
