Skins lose to Chiefs, that really sucks. Never seen such a Redskin meltdown, more like a nervous breakdown.

I'm not at all surprised that they lost to the Chiefs. I just checked the Redskins forums and saw that there were plenty of empty seats, but what is really scary is that there were unconfirmed reports of Redskin fans fighting other Redskin fans in and outside of the stadium.

Another funny yet sad story about how pathetic this team is, some of the people who went to the game tried to get coffee before the start of the game only to be told there was none available Just another example of how Danny Boy has no business running this franchise.

Oh well, the game brought me $160 on a money line bet.

Question now is how long Zorn will be left in place. One DC sportswriter has this take on the topic:

"If you feel compelled to hire a consultant to look over Jim Zorn's shoulder one week, then want to take away his play calling duties the next week, it's pretty obvious you really don't want him to be your head coach. Dan Snyder doesn't want Zorn to be his head coach anymore. But he doesn't want to be the heavy hand and fire Zorn six weeks into the season either. Talk about a mess."

If I had to replace Zorn, today is the day. They have to play the Eagles next week, but then they have a "bye week" after that, which would give the team time to adjust to a new HC and get familiar with a new regime. May as well do it now, get it over with.

I would bet money that Daniel Snyder is actually a Cowboys fan in disguise cuz he sure is running the team like he is. Carlos Rogers was right. Our upper management stinks out loud!!!!!!!! The biggest problem with the skins is that #### owner we have followed by our know-nothing "GM". Daniel Snyder is the worst owner in the HISTORY OF SPORTS!!!! That being said... I would definitely like to see us bring in a shanahan or a holmgren as head coach. I feel kinda bad for JZ though cuz he was originally hired to be the OC, not head coach, plus he got stuck with a qb who can't feel a pass rush and an OL that can't stay healthy. so most of the blame should go to this horrible offense which should be completely gutted (except 4 portis, cooley, moss, and randle el). I feel really bad for the defense which is actually playing well. I can't imagine how frustrated they must be. They play their hearts out and the offense plays like absolute trash. On behalf of skins fans everywhere, I apologize to the defense for the sorry excuse of an offense that for some reason bothers to step on the field.

HEADLINE: "D.C. Police are "cracking" down on speeders. For the first offense, they give you 2 Redskins tickets. If you get stopped a second time, they give you two Nationals tickets."

Q. What do you call 47 millionaires sitting around a TV watching the Super Bowl?
A. The Washington Redskins.

Q. What do the Redskins and Billy Graham have in common?
A. They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ".

Q. How do you keep the Redskins out of your yard?
A. Put up a goal post.

Q. Where do you go in D.C. in case of a tornado?
A. To FedEx Field - they never have a touchdown there!

Q. What do you call a Redskin with a Super Bowl ring?
A. Senior Citizen

Q. What's the difference between the Redskins and a dollar bill?
A. You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill.

Q. How many Redskins does it take to win a Super Bowl?
A. We may never find out in the 21st century.

Q. What do the Redskins and opossums have in common?
A. Both play dead at home and get killed on the road.

This is going to be very true.
Rumors are- armed body guards are now escorting danny in and out of the stadium. Shanahan told vinny and or danny to take a hike after they offered him a job.
Danny boy is now making Zorn's life miserable and embarrassing in order to force him to quit. I hope he doesn't quit in order to teach this kid a lesson. Zorn should not have been offered the so called head coach job in the first place, so now live with it chubby boy.

I've found a source that Shanahan was contacted, seems there was a report leaked out by Redskins management. A rather cheap shot way to give Zorn the news that he's done. A month ago, I wrote what follows, but have not found confirmation that the Redskins actually did contact Shanahan, though I surely suspect it was true.

My old post follows:

Is Coach Zorn on borrowed time? Can't fire the team....
WaPo says the Redskins private jet was seen at an airport near the Denver Bronco's practice field and nearby the home of former Bronco Coach Mike Shanahan. Of course, the Redskins say the plane was NOT there on Redskin business nor was Shanahan involved. Sure. That's a mighty long way to go for a plate of Rocky Mountain Oysters and a six pack of Fat Tire Beer.

Chick Hernandez reported last night that Shanahan refused the job amongst other reasons because firing a coach mid season does the team no good at all. Could not find a link but I did watch him on the tube last night.

Shanahan said no (IMO), not so much because he cares about Zorn or the Skins, but he is attempting to get a bidding war started between Snyder and Jerry Jones, from my understanding they are both VERY interested, and both have deeeeeppp pockets and little regard for throwing away money.

Also Shanahan makes about 5 million a year, just staying home. No doubt the bidding is starting @ around 7-10 million, the longer he makes Lil' Danny wait, the more anxious he will become.

And as for Zorn, their is no way in hell he quits and cancels his contract with the Skins. Snyder has to pay him throughout his contract, more than likely it is voided if he quits.
