Adam Schefter reported this morning that Gary Kubiak will accept the Broncos head coaching position if it's offered to him. Should know on Tuesday if it's a done deal.
Outstanding news! And Schefter is usually pretty reliable. I can't imagine the Broncos wouldn't be interested in bringing in Kubiak.
Ok (Mod edit-sentence deleted)how about some good news? It appears that the Kubiak hire is all but official. Multiple news outlets reporting that the Broncos are in the process of working out a 4-year deal and Kubiak will be announced as the new coach at a press conference Tuesday.

I am already hearing rumors the Broncos are considering Vance Joseph for the DC position. He is currently the DB coach for the Bengals and spent time on Kubiak's staff in Houston. He is described as an "up and coming" coach and may be a good fit for DC. As long as he is aggressive!
He took two teams to the Super Bowl and came close to winning one. He even won a division title with Tebow (granted, the AFC West was weak that year). He can't be all that bad.
There can be no question that John Fox knows how to build a good team, even a very good team. The problem is he lacks the fire and competitive desire to get those teams over the hump. Read Jeremy Mincey's comments after the Super Bowl loss, Joel Dreessen's comparison between Fox and Kubiak or even Fox's on "not too shabby" line after the Super Bowl.
It's time for a new coach to take over in Denver and bring the Lombardi home. This team still has a legitimate shot next year and maybe even the year after, but beyond that we'll probably see the window close for awhile.

Look, it was really disappointing to see Denver's fall off this year. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Brady/Manning era and have nothing but respect for Manning. And although Fox has been consistent, he doesn't seem to have what it takes o go all the way.

I think this is awesome news for the Broncos. Great that it has come full circle for Kubiak. Once a backup, now head coach. Looking forward to next season!
Gase is out now. Possibly taking Kubiak's old job.
I have to think this goes on the side of increasing the chances Peyton won't be back.
Why is Gase out? Elway wanted to completely clean house?
