Blocking roads is a dangerous thing. This type of thing has caused issues with people getting to the hospital. Who knows what other issues it is creating for people stuck in traffic. It is not just a minor inconvenience for everyone. Some people may have very important reasons to get to where they need to go.
I was one of those people stuck in traffic on Fayetteville St. near Southpoint this evening. These need to stop. They're getting tiresome and ridiculous. If they want the public to side with them, this is NOT an effective means. I am all for free speech but if they impede others rights to go where they need to go then I have an issue with that.
A fire hose combined with chilly weather might end this stupidity.
Considering the criminal background of the Missouri and NYC victims, it sounds like a demonstration to protest the execution of Ted Bundy.
People should pick their battles more wisely.
Injecting race into these deaths is a mistake. News media are keeping this alive to increase their audience ratings. They are not providing a balanced view explaining both sides.

Uh, yea because creating images evoking Birmingham will surely help things. What we're dealing with now has more to do with the inept, thoughtless response to the protests in Fergusson than it does with any of the incidents that started this. I have to say that the Durham PD has handled this pretty well, clearly having learned from the Jesus Huerta riot.
I don't get these protests though. All they are doing is alienating the majority that are troubled by these events and creating a diversion from the real issues. Instead of talking about how to fix things, people are talking about those jerks who kept their 3 year old from seeing Santa.
