I ended up with the five inches I mentioned in an earlier post. Far
short of the foot or more I was hoping for...

Once the sun goes down is what I worry about more but they should be in Florida by then, south of where the snow started.
Hope they stop driving when sundown comes. Where are they headed in Florida? We just drove up from South Florida on Monday. My parents are snowbirds in Delray Beach.

Looked on the traffic cameras and main roads in Cary are about 90% clear.

Watching news coverage from Boston. It's crazy up there - water is coming out of Boston Harbor into Downtown Boston. I've never seen that happen. They say it's the highest storm surge since the blizzard of 1978.

Must be the BOMBOGENESIS! Thankfully the intensification happened further up the coast (like it usually does).

Used InstaCart for the first time today for groceries because I didn't feel like going out in this mess. Went better than expected and got a $10 credit and free delivery as it was my first time.

Would use again.

Wow, that is crazy. I was watching the NYC coverage and the Long Island Expressway is completely covered in snow, I don't remember them being unable to plow during storms like this when I was a kid, in fact my mom drive my dad to the airport during the infamous 1978 blizzard and his plane actually took off in that. Must be the BOMBOGENESIS.

Been using them for a good while now. Definitely recommend.

Watch that fee they tack on. I remove it and then tip the driver instead. It's not my problem if Instacart cannot pay their drivers fair wages. Maybe take some money out of their profits.

I turned it on too. It's crazy. The snow is one thing, but the wind and storm surge are another issue altogether. They are saying that the flooding will freeze overnight and "houselock" people making it impossible to leave the house.

I got houselocked here in 1996. Ice storm and I lived on the 2nd floor of a house with an apartment upstairs.

I had to get the fire department to pry me out.

No kidding.

It was wild.
