Decided we didn't like being that far out. It was DARK at night! Lived in it for 6 months, sold it, made a profit and then re-built similar house in Cary, NC! Used same wallpaper (yhea, I told you it was the '70s!), same flooring, same countertops, etc.

And I'm sure it was some very groovy wallpaper.

I couldn't stand to move that often. I've been in my current house (the only one I've ever owned myself) for 9 years this month. My parents never owned a home less than 12 years when I was growing up. My grandparents lived in the same house for 60 years. My family doesn't like to move.

Less than 3 months! I was panicking about my future and bought a really dirt cheap condo, but then came to my senses and realized I hated that f****** city like the plague. I was all packed up and 1 week from moving in. I turned around and sold it. I didn't lose anything, but didn't make anything either.

I think it was my first home ( too small for a growing family) 5 years.
Other homes I have lived in at least 8 years or longer.

Our first home we stayed in exactly 5 years. It just got too small. Made a 15% profit when we sold it.

I know two homes off the top of my head in my market that were sold resold in less than a 1 year of ownership. Not house flippers, but corporate transferees.
