Living with only animals for neighbors sounds good, but in the real world, a lot of woodlands is sure to mean atv’s roaring through, hunters, druggies, and the assorted lowlifes that every small town harbors. A way to get around that would be living next to private ranches as MTSlivertip mentioned. Good cell phone service along with good neighbors, makes woodlands living pretty safe, but it all depends on the area.

Just as a follow up, my place and my neighbors all allow hunting.
99% of hunters are great people. The 1% is the reason you get the names and addresses of all who request permission to hunt on your land.
The sheriff and Fish and Game can handle those that don't ask.
I agree, look closely before you buy, but don't be trying to control what your neighbor does, just makes for a poor relationship.
