I've never done this, but I understand you can make oatmeal in the slow cooker. Google it and you'll find the recipe. Let us know if it works!

If I make a big batch of oatmeal on a Sunday night, will I be ok putting it into 5 Pyrex containers and heating them up every morning? Or will it get super sludgy/slimy and gross?
I do that all the time. It tastes just fine!!!

I actually don't cook ours. I put in a large bowl and add the water and by morning it has softened and can be quickly heated (you just want to get it warm and take the chill out) and ate. We avoid the slime/goo that way.

One of my favorites:

I put some raw (old-fashioned) rolled oats in a deep bowl, add apple juice until it's just level with the oats, and let it sit overnight. It can sit for days, too. When I want to eat some I just stir it a bit and put plain yogurt on top. Yum.
Optional: you can add nuts and/or raisins. You can warm it up in the microwave.

Default Oatmeal lovers

Gluey, creamy or a bit soupy? Personally, I prefer a little soupy.

I just happen to be eating oatmeal as I type this. I prefer it to be a bit thick. I eat it plain, sometimes with a little salt, sometimes without.

More toward the thicker side, along with a sprinkle of nutmeg
