and to answer the op- lobster stew, chicken soup, texas brownies and bacon wrapped scallops is what the family asks for. friends want my baked brie, cream puffs or christmas cookies.
I am know as MR. MEAT by friends and family. LOL
I am always tasked with cooking the proteins. Turkey, Hams, Steak, Chicken, Ribs etc..... In many different styles. My wife is known a MRS POTATO. Any kind of dish hot or cold with potatoes including salads she is asked to make.
Please ask your wife to share some of her potato recipes, they are not that easy to find!
Really? Most of her receipes come right of Better homes and garden cook books the ones with the Gingham style table cloth print. Then she jazzes them up to suit the party or affair we are attending. She has like ten different editions going back to the 1940's she has accumulated from Granny and Mom.
Yes, please ask her about one of the granny's recipes, they are usually really nice.
And if it is not too much to ask, one with her own twist. I really like "adapted" recipes. Thanks!
