He has already admitted to lying to me about his age, and about the suicide attempts. I would hope if anything did ever come of this that they would dismiss it.
Something needs to be done for adult victims here. In my searches I must have seen 60 million pages pertaining to teenaged victims and not a single ONE for adult victims. How can that be?
I don't think most people see you as a victim here. No one sees men that get caught in a trap as victims, why should they see a woman any differently. You have the same tools to think with that men have.
Well it started out as a friendship, just hanging out and playing together. Eventually he told me that he was very much in love with me, though.
I just ..... didn't know how to deal with that. When I thought about it, I thought eh, it would only be an online fantasy-relationship anyway, and then I suddenly found myself being referred to as "his girlfriend". That, I wasn't comfortable with, no. But that didn't last long at all anyway, because it was soon after I discovered some discrepencies about his age and although I wasn't able to end contact with him right then because of how suicidal he was, it was the end of the personal relationship.
It's amazing how you can get dragged into something like this out of the blue.

Coming from all you people who probably send gag gifts to all your friends, that's pretty hypocritic. Like I said, I'm just a normal person who got conned and sucked into a friendship with someone online. I wasn't "looking for" a relationship, I wasn't "looking for" a friendship, and if I were it sure as hell wouldn't be with a kid, would it.
I'm not a predator in any shape or form. I just found someone I liked talking to and I had a blast with, I had no idea he was like that. Thanks for all the smarta$$ remarks though, really. I was hoping for a little more help and support, but I can see from the caliber of the people who made the last few posts that I won't find anyone who can do that here.

He definitely has bi-polar depression, he is definitely a pathological liar. He has posted himself in a couple of places that he's a pedophile, he constantly surfs the net for porn, and I just.. have spent the last week discovering how sick he really is.
And he hid all of these things VERY well, coming off as a mature, rational "adult" in all of our conversations all the way up until I caught him lying about his age.
At any rate, it's over, I've cut all ties, and I can only hope that he doesn't ever find any more victims.

You are a middle aged woman, probably my age, who willingly interacted romantically with someone who you believed to be 18 and still in high school. You sent him sex toys, you still interacted with him when he proclaimed his love.....
In what reality do you think that any person in high school can be mature enough for a forty-something women to interact with? Or should?
