Thing is with that, I've been self-employed for probably 3/4 of my life.
I don't play well with others.
Right now I'm in a partnership, which is sort of like a marriage to someone you don't respect or like very much, but the marriage pays the bills. Plus, I have about 40 "children" to think about.
I've found that, at least for me and my "unique" personality, I can only prosper when I'm self-employed, but those days are past. Now it's just marking time.
Mine too, but I've been condemned many times for being an unsafe ride.
"You must be THIS tall to ride Phil"
I could say something along the lines of "I had to check to see what the original comment was about", but that would be in poor taste...
I have always been forced to work as a team. The guy who doesn't usually doesn't last long. You rely on the guy standing next to you and at least four hands are required a great deal of the time. You also have to trust THAT guy. Did he really kill the power? Is he gonna whack my hand with that sledge? You know, stuff you don't just let anyone help with.

If you can find yourself in the midst of a team that you trust, that's all to the good.
I never found anyone that I could trust as much as I do myself. Plus, the very nature of my work was solitary, so it was difficult to draft others to my cause.

They all went to SCHOOL at the same place. I trust them with my life. High school is for kids!
All of my high school friends are either dead or in jail.
That's too bad. Hands on SCHOOL gets them every time.
