I admit to not making a lot of money, or having a lot of things. But that doesn't mean that I'm not valuable in my own right. In another forum, I had two posters attacking me for it, and a few posters who were supportive of me.
No, and other people shouldn't either. I would have to throw the flag if someone was pushing the issue. Why do they care so much? Big red flag for most of us guys. As long as your credit is in good order, your wages aren't being garnished and no one is calling or tracking you down, I would be leery of someone who puts this first on the list. Some of the people who try to make you believe they have it don't. Have you ever seen the houses in the fanciest neighborhoods without anything in them? I have and it's all a front for a status symbol. Not all of them are like this but a significant number is. Some of the best people I know don't have two nickels to rub together. Having less and working HARDER to get it should be a positive trait, not a negative one. I always think more of the person who earned it with blood, sweat and tears.
I don't even KNOW the number in anybody's bank account, besides my own. And sometimes, not even that.
