I say this growing up and digging the cheesy hair metal bands of the 80's.......
Music is f ing garbage.... the justin biebers of the world have taken over...... rap, while I don't care for it.... back in the 80's at least it meant something... now its coporate controlled ran by stuffy old f cking white men...... garbage......
Lest you forget Leif Garrett that's the way its always been. One band/artist comes along with a unique sound and every label in the industry is scrambling to find a copy. That's why the era of the "hair bands" is plural as well as "grunge bands" The real difference is in the 80s you had 3 main outlets MTV, radio, recorded media; in the 70s & before it was only 2 outlets; now they are in your face 24/7.
