No need for you guys to go to Asia or Russia. that is too far and the stories Ive heard are too shabby. My lovely wife is from Mexico and I can tell you her culture respects and admires GOOD men. She makes six figures,has a Bachelors degree, speaks four languages, great mother, great wife. I wouldnt and couldnt be happier. You have all that you need in this hemisphere, no need to go to russia or Asia for some chick that just wants a meal ticket or pass into this country!
I think it's a great topic let's continue. I agree with the op....a friend of mine married a woman from Latin America...she has an advanced degree and actually makes more money than he does. We all know American women have a huge issue with that scenario to begin with...and the money thing in general. If foreign women were just gold diggers...she definitely would not have married my friend.
I once rented a room in a house owned by a guy who's wife was from Colombia. They had recently married and bought the house only a few months before I moved in. He knew no Spanish, she knew no English. She had not been to this country before they got married, and he had never been to her country... I never asked them how they met but I could put 2 and 2 together. Anyway, they seemed happy with each other.
Lately I've actually thought about exploring this idea myself, for a number of different reasons. I am 26 years old. I would like to spend some time traveling to Mexico & Latin America anyway, & improve my Spanish. I would definitely look into if there were any reputable dating agencies that specialize in this. I agree that I would much rather find someone in Latin America than eastern Europe/ Asia. It would be much easier to travel back and forth, for one.
I've dated Latin American women myself and let me tell you one secret about them, they are women. You can't tell people to look in a certain country for a better wife, that's not how things work. If you can't pick up an American girl with good morals and views on life, you're not going to have any better luck with a Latin American women. Stop searching women for race, and start looking for a good girl, regardless of race.

...and I would pick a Latin (or an Asian) women over an East European in an eyewink -even if I know that long term commitment with anybody from any culture is NEVER easy- ...my gut feeling, it's not that I particularly trust Latin women, but I particularly East Europeans , and in that order :
Russians / Ukrainians , then Romanians , then Bulgarians. Just not to be trusted.
