They can date whomever they want, as long as the other person is open to dating them. My only issue is when single parents get mad when childless won't date them, then that offends me.
Yep, I have known quite a few people who married when one had kids and the other had never married.
Some single people want kids but circumstances in their lives never allowed that to happen. LTRs broke apart, and they just had not met the right person. If the right person happened to have children, and the single partner was mature enough and strong enough to love those children too, it works great!
As the old quote goes, it takes a strong person to step up to the plate another parent left on the table.

Personally, I can't see why a parent would want to date someone without children. If I were single, I wouldn't even entertain dating a childless man, unless his childless status was not his choice.

This is an interesting point. Yes a single parent can get along with a person who has children themselves. Although the single parent would have to look at many factors.
Is she/he A.- A good parent?
B.- A interactive parent?
C.- A fair parent?
D.- Willing to share responseability?
On another take, why shouldn't he/she marry a single woman/man without children?
Maybe doesn't want her to have kids? And would like to have future ones with her.
Anyone should date anyone they feel like as long as they're both of age.

Exactly. Why do people insist that certain people should either only date or lean more toward a certain group?
Tall men do not have to date tall women

Asian women do not have to date Asian men
Fat women do not have to date fat men

Everyone can date whoever they want as long as they are of age whether or not you approve
