I've seen it happen to guys too, though not as much. One story involved a former acquantence vanishing for two days over a guy she was madly in love with (after two weeks) but he was only interested in fooling around. Taught me a lesson about taking my time with sex (she didnt) and listening to my emotions first.
Women can be as obsessive as guys, but you never really hear much about it. I'm sure it happens just as much.
Although he is weird and has done all these weird things you don't just tell him to stop. I think part of you likes the attention.
Are you an idiot?
She said she did not like the attention. She tried the sort of subtle cold shoulder by not replying to the barrage of texts. She sought advice about being confrontational, decided that was the best step, and confronted him.
Where in any of this does it appear to you that the OP is an attention seeker? She seems reasonable, practical, and capable of analyzing her needs and acting upon them.

Thanks for all the advice, it clearly worked. Haven't heard a peep from him all last week, despite seeing me around campus. Hopefully he just gets the point and isn't being bitter about the whole situation. He saw me having lunch with another guy and didn't act funny, so I guess the issue is finally put to rest and he has moved on.
In a funny sense, I'm glad I went through the ordeal....learned a valuable lesson about how some guys act and what warning signs to look out for. I probably would have thought he was Prince Charming back in high school. >_<
He was probably just doing what all people are taught to do...being persistant and not giving up easily. It works sometimes so he may have figured it was worth a shot.
