I am dating my neighbor and loving it! I can see where it will be awkward if we break up, but we live in a small apartment complex and if one of us had to move it wouldn't be that big of a deal. It was a little wierd at first but we just try and respect each other's space and be mature adults.

My best friend ended up dating her next-door neighbor and they are about to get married! It just got me to thinking, would you take a chance on dating a neighbor? I would love to hear stories from different people who have done this... good and bad.

I'd mind it very much.

One neighbor is old, like 70s+ old, another neighbor is married and older and is ****ing nuts.

I had a young lady try. Leaving homemade cookies at my door and stuff. She was nice but never dated her.

One time thou, her and a friend of hers were leaving the apartment complex as I was coming in & she invited me out with them both. I turned them down. Still think about my choice. Lol!!

Yes I would & have, it was pretty cool.
I didn't realize ( I've got a tendency to be totally oblivious to these kinds of things ) that he had a huge obsession w/ me.
So by the time he got the nerve to go for it, I was totally caught off guard.
It wound up being a soulmate connection.

Would anyone date a neighbor? Where do you think the whole girl-next-door image came from? That's one way people meet, especially when they're still living at home, in Middle School or HS, or college. They meet hanging around the neighborhood.

Strange questions come up on this forum.
