Bible belt areas of the US you'll run into it (Southeast U.S.) Most places up north/west don't care. Maybe some ranchers/rednecks in small towns.. that's about it.

If you stick to bigger cities you're fine though.

Even in big cities you have to be careful. I live in NYC and some areas of the city are very ethnic. One ethnic group may not like another datinv their kind. I heard of a story about an Hispanic guh dating an Albanian woman. The Albanian woman family who is also Muslim did not like the Hispanic boyfriend.

In my experience even the big cities in the south are pretty racist socially against foreigners.

My dad's family all lived in Florida an I would go down there quite often and see my aunt at different times of the year. My birthday, when I would always leave town and go see her, was right smack in the middle of spring break. I was never into the spring break mindset.

We did go down by the beach one night and you could see pick up trucks lined up along the street, rebel flags waving and see the guns and a load of these guys standing still in the back of the trucks. It was so blatant.

I had a job offer there and while one often runs into tourists most often, I took a really hard look at the resident people in that area and around other places besides the beach scene and it was in the middle of summer. I saw what amounted to a lot of the redneck mentality. I'm not saying all places are like this, but many large cities there are.

Additionally, you will find more tolerance in areas where there are higher concentrations of people and that would be on the eastern and western seaboards and some of the Great Lakes areas. As population thins out in the middle of the country, fewer and fewer couples are interracial and or not tolerated as much.

Small, insular communities lacking diversity can be iffy, but in my experience, it's been more a matter of being looked at like a curio, versus outright histility, even in just such a setting.

^^ If you are already of this mindset in the first place, why pose the question?
