I only have 1min to spare. Can someone give me the Cliffnotes version? Is he saying "don't be so damn picky"?
Sure. Let go of the idea of a perfect mate. None of us is anybody's perfect mate. Too many people approach relationships with the attitude, "What can you do for ME? What do I DESERVE?" without taking a realistic appraisal of themselves.

This.
While I firmly believe no one is perfect or even near perfect, and that's alright, but I do believe in finding/having the person that is perfect for me.
His comedy of BS basically says no more than 5 dealbreakers, get over the rest like you have no backbone, and don't be so damn picky.
What part of it is BS other than you don't like his # of dealbreakers? What he's saying is basic common sense for relationships, yet so many people don't get it.
Sorry, but someone who chews with their mouth open isn't going to get past the first date. Unless mayyyybe if they're a brilliant conversationalist and a lot of fun. But maybe not, even then.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's BS. I'd say he way oversimplifies the issues. He needs to discuss the difference between major dealbreakers, red flags, and minor annoyances.

I guess I'm doomed.
Well yeah, that's pretty gross, but he makes a good point about also being able to speak up in a relationship and tell the person to chew with their f**king mouth closed too.
But everyone has little quirks and idiosyncrasies that make them unique, and you really need to look big-picture at a person and if overall they're a good match, then the little quirks don't matter.
