Based on your frustration with being stuck with 'her $30 lunch'.
DO NOT EVER GET MARRIED. . . .
You will have to do things like:
Buy an engagement ring
Pay a mortgage
Other bills
Raise children
Etc, etc.
And then if you get divorced, you will lose about half of your stuff and/or have to pay child support.
Stop dating ASAP and get a goldfish. You can get a decent goldfish bowl, filter, some colored rocks for the bottom, a plastic plant and the actual goldfish for under $30.
IF I got a ring and a mortgage, and she left me the day after the wedding, this would make sense.
1. She wanted a free lunch
2. You said something that totally offended her
3. 15 min may not have been nearly long enough to wait, but only you know what it was like in the restaurant that day--busy or not?
It could have been for any number of reasons, many having nothing to do with you. Maybe she is stepping out on her husband and saw someone she knew. Don't blame yourself. Onward and upward!
So sorry that happened to you, Canada Boy. Stuff happens in the dating game, it happens to women too. We meet someone from OLD or a friend's set-up, and they walk away without even saying hello. Or they make up an excuse about how they have to leave. It's just life, ya gotta roll with the punches. Dust yourself off, and keep on truckin'. We're rooting for you!
Huh. I'm puzzled as to why she had anything boxed up if she was going to pretend to go to the bathroom and ditch you.
As an aside, I would never have bread boxed up, especially on a date!
