So recently I met this really cute girl at universoty. We became instant best friends quickly. She would always compliment me and joke al the time about us getting married and even us dating. But I'm not sure, I don't want to scare her off if I flirt or do anything subtle. I really don't want to lose her friendship, but this text has me kinda going.

Her: Hey girl. Yo uh looked very pretty today
I loved your korean style. You are a cute girl xo

Me: Me too. You're so pretty today. I like you with your hair done and your eye makeup is so pretty too! I'll surprise you tomorrow with a new outfit :-*

Her: Hey did you feel bad today. You are lovely and very sweet. And smart girl. Don't feel bad about things I do. I wish I couldI am always gonna be there.

Me: Hm I won't. Not from such a pretty girl like you And as far as I know, you're a good girl.

Her: I will do your make up .. we should bake one day

But here's the thing. She's got a boyfriend! What can and should I do to test the waters without freaking her out?

If she isn't a switch hitter, anything you do might freak her out.

Nah

Most LUG flings (not saying the OP is, but the other might come around) have a BF in the picture to start. It's a right of passage.

Generally it includes wine from what I've seen. And yes, often a thing. Although at my age and my scene (very different than the OPs) its "we should brew someday".

.
I don't think so.

OP, if this girl wants something with you, the onus is on her to let you know that, since she is with someone.

So um...I sent pics of girls kissing and she says it is cute. Hm...I don't know. She says she fights with her boyfriend a lot and since they live together she doesn't want to be around him often.

She may be ok with gay, and likes to play around with you. Sometimes bantering is just fun, and it's the way some people are-flirtatious. As for the pic, she may think kissing in general is cute for any couple in love. Send her a pic of 2 guys kissing and see how she responds.

She lives with her boyfriend, but if she's miserable, you'd think she'd have left him by now, or would be letting you know she's planning to leave, and asking if you knew some places she could stay.

But rather than games, and pix, you need to just talk to her. It may be awkward, but if you wanna date someone, you should be comfortable enough with them that you could talk to them about more serious things. And if she's really a friend, she wouldn't drop you over it.

If she's not interested in you that way, and/or is devoted to her current relationship, then just tell her you respect that, and you are happy to just be her friend, and she shouldn't feel weird around you, because surely you wouldn't do anything inappropriate..

Beating around the bush and playing games rarely helps relationships, it just makes things more complicated than they should be, and can cause misunderstandings and fights.

But one thing, please DO NOT start anything with her while she's still got a boyfriend. Because if she's interested in you romantically, then she owes it to you and the boyfriend to not sneak around and try to keep both of you. Basically don't help her cheat and be her mistress. It's a very disrespectful position to be in.
