SD & BeagleLady:

I am harassing someone on a different thread about pet birds, please don't take it personally okay?

Speaking of the bird, is it still calling for the dog?

That was his name when they got him several months ago and he actually did a lot better this past weekend.
He didn't bark or growl at me but when I walked in the house I completely ignored him and did not even look at him.

Within a few minutes he came over to where I was sitting and nudged my arm like "um, I do live here why did you ignore me" and I was able to give him 3 treats and pet his head.

Sometimes it takes a while to warm up to someone.

I should add that I am not a big fan of birds wild or otherwise and never have been.
My ex husband had a cockatiel or whatever that noisy, irritating little bunch of feathers was.
I found him beak up one morning in his cage and I felt bad for him because he died but I did not lose any sleep over his death.

Saturday morning he came downstairs where our room is and about 1/2 way down the stairs he saw me and turned around and went right back upstairs.
A few minutes later he came back down and stuck his head under my hand so I gave him a few pets and he immediately went and ate all of Walter's food...LOL

Walt got him back a wee bit later though.
Roo was rolling around on the floor wanting to play and Walt pounced on his head and gave him the dog's version of a noogie.
Then they both went flying through the basement like big goons and our Son In Law decided to take them both outside for a few minutes.

The littles are older, the oldest will be 15 in December. He is at the point where he doesn't care. The irreverent attitude is awesome.
