I don't think it is shallow not to want to date someone overweight. I would not date a guy who is overweight, and not because of health concerns, it's just that I am not turned on by overweight men. I need to be physically attracted to someone I date. Of course there are many other things that turn me on besides physical appearance (intelligence, good heart, etc.), but looks are very important to me.

ETA: I just read the other posts. So you ARE attracted to her, you're just afraid of her having health issues in the future? Anyone can have health issues, so this doesn't really make sense.

Normal BMI is 18.5 to 24.9. Anything higher is overweight.

So, what's your BMI? I'm overweight at 25.

You don't like fat broads, don't date one, people shouldn't hide behind medical reasons for it.

I work with a lot of dudes that don't like big women and when they see a big girl, no one ever says "You know, I was gonna ask her out, but I'm worried about the HDL and LDL levels and wonder what kind of impact that's gonna have on our future medical premiums"

No.... it's look at that fat *****.

Harsh, I know... matter of fact, quite mean to be honest.
