I've been reading the bible and there are a few stories of women being unable to have babies but allowed their husbands to have babies. Of course this means having sex. Now there are other options including surrogates. I'll be honest and no way would I allow a man I was with to impregnate another woman. That would be automatic breakup. In the case of surrogate I'm not sure. I don't think I could handle a situation like his sperm is used to make her pregnant and she had rights. I don't even know if I would like a situation like donor eggs, though it's only the genetics aspect.
A loy of times with a surrogate, they take the infertile womans eggs, and the mans sperm, and put them in the host woman.

We are paying the price for the descendants of Ishmael to this very day.
And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
Genesis 16:12
No. Although I realize sex doesn't have to be part of the equation I wouldn't be comfortable with the potential legal/financial issues that may come up down the line. Those things seem to change on a whim.

In those days, it was different. Often, women who couldn't conceive were abandoned. So allowing the husband to have a child with another woman, and bring that child into the home, would have been one way to keep the husband. However, in those days, they also had no way of knowing whether it was the man or the woman who couldn't conceive. The husband could end up having a rude awakening, if he discovered he was the one impeding the couple's fertility.
There are many children of different ages who need to be adopted by a loving couple...
True.
So many people don't adopt and not to be mean they want their own kids and I get it to a point, but it just sort of irks me a bit.
If you can't conceive naturally that's the hand you've been dealt and maybe it's for a reason... IDK.... probably easier for me to say that since I don't have kids myself.
I'm sure since history has shown that men treated women as property that it surely must have been the woman's fault she couldn't conceive.
Women were also blamed for not producing boys, which we now know sperm determine the gender of a baby. Henry VIII....

It irks me too. I completely understand wanting to have your own genetic children, but children grow up homeless, hungry and unloved while couples longing for kids spend thousands of dollars and go into debt to conceive. Now they are say gay couples will soon be able to have genetic babies, which is an amazing feat of technology, but all I can think about is the kids who won't be adopted because of this .
