winning the lotto would be cause to jump up and down and squeal. finding out you're going to dinner at dave and busters isn't. your reactions should match the activity. you don't have to change your personality but tone it down. over reacting, laughing when inappropriate, knowing not to use foul language in front of a nun, all important steps in understanding how to act. learning restraint it goes a long way.
I'm one of those people that wouldn't be able to be around for any extended period of time. I get that people are "bubbly" but jumping up and down, screaming/ squealing etc. every time we would do something would end our friendship quickly. It sounds like a 5 year old when you tell them their going to Disneyland. Sry OP, I couldn't put up with that.
Look at how you titled this "...when I get OVERLY excited..." Must you ALWAYS go overboard? Maybe tone it down so that you're not as excited about getting a treat in your cereal box as you are about having a winning lottery ticket?
Think of a puppy dog continually jumping up and down on someone, barking and seeking attention...gets old...fast. Either find a boyfriend who likes it or save a bit of your enthusiasm for when it it really merited.
