I was married for 10 years before I saw my husband's whole face. He got rid of it because it was turning gray. That was in about 1990. I think beards are just sort of out now.

I think it depends on where you live, here in Florida they would probably not be so comfortable but when I lived in Texas I saw them often in the winter.

I have always thought a beard makes a man look more friendly.

Before Kenny Rodgers plastic surgery nightmare, I thought he was so attractive.

I almost always have some sort of facial hair. Even people who don't normally like facial hair have told me it's somehow sexy on me I think it depends on the guy and how he carries it off. Right now I've got that jaw line, chin and side burns only beard thing (clean cheeks and upper lip). It's pretty hot on me..LOL!

I prefer my guys clean shaven usually. Although Chris Daughtry's facial hair makes me tingle

I think mustaches are just DUMB. Hair that looks like its growing from ones nose is attractive ? I agree, trim beards in Alaska or PNW-ok, a ZZTop beard or any facial hair down in Florida or the Bahamas just does not fit.

For Valentines, I joined a friend who was stood up by his date to watch an opra. After a shower, I combed my hair straight back, my beard down while still damp. As it dried and fluffed up a little I saw myself in the mirror and thought "You look like you should have a 'nautical hat' and be selling fish sticks."

My face looked like a cross between "Elijah Wood" and "Captain Highliner."

Well I love having my thick, full-beard. I love how it feels with the warmth, the softness, the look and how it makes my jaw look larger, "more imposing" or rugged, it's waves and curls... My beard is normally halfway to being as curly as the beards found on ancient Greek or Babylonian statues.

I like almost any good reason to be unique or do something different, and this beard feels a little rebellious. That in itself is fun.

However, I myelf don't think I'd want a ZZ Top beard because I wouldn't want it getting caught in shirts, coats etc.

Actually I liked Evan Almighty's beard when he made it into a slick ponytail.
Definitely reminded me of ancient royalty, like maybe a Babylonian king.

Yes, some girls who work at the gym I go to tell me I actually look my age now, in my mid-late 20's. They thought I was 18-20.
However the same girl who said that said my beard "suits me" and "is becoming of me."

Actually, before I had a beard I was a little disappointed that I "didn't look like a man," but in my eyes, an aging 16 yr old with somewhat thinning hair.

I always have a beard, normally almost skin short but right now Im growing it out. It must be 2 inches long by now, I love it. Beards are very comfortable and they feel real good on the face of the one who is growing them.

Beards .. I hate them! I don't like facial hair on men (or women, for that matter. ). I just think of all the foods and smells and things that can get trapped in one's facial hair and it just grosses me out. I'm all over that Pierce Brosnan, very British suave and debonaire look.
